CPS is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant/Program Manager to run its Air Quality Permitting team.  This position plays a vital role in the company’s growing air quality permitting and modeling consulting program services.
 
Responsibilities:


  • Management/oversight of the Environmental Permitting and Technical Field Services team
  • Evaluate and review applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and technical permitting requirements required to develop application information and obtain the necessary environmental permits for our client’s intended needs.
  • Obtain and evaluate specific operational and technical information related to various industrial and commercial activities for a wide array of clients that may be re required to prepare










  • Coordinate and integrate planning and development with CPS Engineering and Design team as necessary
  • Review of permitting requirements/conditions to assist client’s with regulatory compliance
  • Conduct facility environmental audits to determine environmental permitting needs and related regulatory compliance issues
  • Presentation of technical application information to regulatory oversight agencies including attending required public meetings/hearings
  • Develop strong working relationships with current clients to foster additional work while developing new industry contacts
  • Participate in industry organizations where there is opportunity to develop relationships with potential clients
  • Foster business development skills among staff through coaching and partnering
  • Manage projects, budgets, scope, change orders and collections
  • Pro-actively troubleshoot and problem solve with practical client-focused solutions
  • Supervise the work of staff
  
 
Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of professional experience in environmental permitting, consulting or related experience in either the public or private sectors.
  • This position will require the candidate to engage with existing and new clients to assist with business development to create new business opportunities.
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate a wide range of client development experience in both the private and public client sectors.
  • Candidate must have extensive experience and capability in interpreting and applying federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
  • Candidate must be familiar with multiple environmental and technical disciplines; experience with waste management, beneficial use, and recycling industries and how their related permitting and compliance obligations is desired.
  • Candidate should also be familiar with applicable OSHA regulations and how these regulations can affect the day to day operations at our client’s facilities.
  • Position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Candidates must have proven supervisory skills with demonstrated teamwork, mentoring and motivational abilities.
  • Candidate is required to a minimum of bachelor’s degree with an environmental, technical or engineering discipline.
  
  
  • Operating and Material Management Plans;
  • Analytical Quality Control Testing Procedures;
  • Monitoring, maintenance and recordkeeping procedures; 
  • Pollution prevention and hazard management requirements;
  • Emergency and Contingency Procedures;
  • Solid and hazardous waste management requirements related to storage, treatment, transportation and disposal; and   
  • Process system design and planning.
