CPS is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant/Program Manager to run its Air Quality Permitting team.  This position plays a vital role in the company’s growing air quality permitting and modeling consulting program services.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Supporting private and public-sector client air quality needs, including but not limited to:  preparation of state and federal air permit applications; mobile and stationary source air modeling; GHG assessments; design and construction air quality analysis; preparation of proposals, technical reports and client presentations.
  • Managing client relationships in various private and public sectors.
  • Coordination of air quality consulting services for Program Team.
  • Managing projects
  • QA/QC technical work from Program Team support staff.
 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, meteorology or related field (Master’s desirable)
  • 4-6+ years of air quality work experience with EPA and state environmental review agencies
  • A strong background in air quality modeling & permitting with knowledgeable understanding of federal, state and local regulatory requirements, including compliance with attainment/non-attainment status, construction air emission reduction measures, federal and national emission standards and control requirements
  • Expertise in EPA regulatory software modeling programs
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Proven supervisory skills with demonstrated teamwork, mentoring and motivational ability.

Senior Hydrogeologist/Technical Program Division Leader                                         Posted: January 16, 2019
 
  
  
CPS is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist/Geologist/Environmental Professional with 10+ years of professional experience in leading technical and remedial investigations in both public and private sectors. This position plays a key role in our environmental business plan for 2019.

The Senior Hydrogeologist/Geologist/Environmental Professional will provide technical leadership and programmatic development for our regional Technical & Remedial Services division.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, evaluate and oversee remedial and environmental site investigation, including, but not limited to 
  • DEP statutes and regulations (e.g., SRRA/LSRP, ARRCS and TRSR), associated technical guidance documents, regulatory timeframes, documentation/reporting requirements and SRP regulatory forms is preferred.
  • Data analysis and interpretation and management of large databases of information in MS Excel and Access. 
  • Lead hydrogeologic characterization in overburden and bedrock geologic environments, including interpretation of data and presentation of results.
  • Design and implement aquifer hydraulic tests (slug tests, pumping tests), including data management and interpretation.
  • Provide oversight and evaluation of EPA Superfund Process, specifically reviewing technical reports and documents regarding complex contaminated sites and summarizing site conditions, discharge pathways, contaminants of concern and preparation of detailed conceptual site models.
  • Evaluate inorganic/organic chemical fate and transport of contaminants in soil and groundwater media.  Lead investigations of past discharges of wastes and hazardous substances at remedial investigation sites.
  • Develop strong working relationships with current clients to foster additional work while developing new industry contacts where there is a potential for new work.
  • Participate in industry organizations in business sectors where the opportunity to develop relationships with potential clients exists
  • Foster business development skills among staff through coaching and partnering
  • Manage projects, budgets, scope, change orders and collections (from start to finish)
  • Pro-actively troubleshoot and problem solve with practical client-focused solutions
  • Supervise the work of staff

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience in leading technical and remedial investigations in both public and private sectors.
  • This position will require the candidate to engage with client/business development, create new business opportunities and help increase market share. Working with our marketing team on RFP/RFQ submittals will also be required.
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate a wide-range of client development experience in both the private and public client sectors.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills is a key attribute.  This position also requires detail-oriented individuals
  • Professional licensing as a Professional Geologist (P.G.), Professional Engineer (P.E.), Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) is preferred.
